Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in power transformer design . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transformer design, engineering calculations, and exposure to manufacturing and testing processes. You will play a key role in delivering reliable and productive transformer solutions aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design power and distribution transformers including core, winding, insulation, and cooling systems
- Perform detailed electrical and mechanical design calculations (losses, impedance, thermal performance, etc.)
- Prepare and review technical drawings, GA drawings, BOMs, and design documents
- Independently handle or support core and winding design activities
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications
- Provide technical support during manufacturing stages: core assembly, winding, tanking, and final assembly
- Participate in routine and type testing (IR, ratio test, impedance, load/no-load losses, temperature rise, etc.)




- Ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards and internal quality procedures
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues
- Support quality inspections and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain design records, technical reports, and documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of:
- Power systems and electrical machines
- Transformer design principles (core, winding, losses, cooling methods)

- Proven hands-on experience in power transformer design
- Familiarity with IEC / IS standards
- Ability to interpret and create electrical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and testing methods is essential
