Role Description The Editorial Board member role at Path-iQ is a remote, contract position focused on shaping the quality and direction of clinical and scientific content related to digital pathology and AI-driven diagnostics. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and providing feedback on manuscripts, case studies, technical documents, and platform-related educational materials to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and relevance.

The Editorial

Board member will collaborate with internal teams and external contributors to develop content themes, maintain editorial standards, and identify emerging topics in pathology and AI worth highlighting. Typical activities include participating in virtual editorial meetings, advising on content strategy,



contributing or co-authoring select articles, and upholding ethical and evidence-based publishing practices. This role is ideal for individuals who want to influence how digital pathology and AI innovations are communicated to clinical and research audiences.

Qualifications

- Experience in pathology, laboratory medicine, or a closely related biomedical field, with a strong understanding of histopathology workflows and diagnostic practices.
- Prior involvement with scientific, clinical, or technical publishing, such as journal editorial work, peer review, or authorship of articles, case reports, or guidelines.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to review, edit, and refine complex medical and technical content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Familiarity with digital pathology platforms, AI-assisted image analysis, or healthcare technology, and interest in emerging trends in computational pathology.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards in publishing, evidence-based practice, and maintaining high-quality editorial guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team environment, manage deadlines, and participate in virtual meetings as needed.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent) in pathology, biomedical sciences, or a related field is highly beneficial; board certification in pathology is a plus.
- Previous experience on an editorial board, in peer review, or in leading academic, clinical, or industry content initiatives is advantageous.
