Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Draftsperson with approximately 10 years of experience in preparing engineering drawings for hydropower and pumped storage projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and high-quality civil, structural, hydraulic, and associated engineering drawings based on design inputs and project requirements. The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings in accordance with applicable standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and update engineering drawings for hydropower and pumped storage projects using CAD and BIM software.
- Develop detailed drawings for:
- Dams and spillways
- Intake and outlet structures
- Headrace and tailrace tunnels
- Surge shafts and pressure shafts
- Underground and surface powerhouses
- Pump houses
- Penstock alignments and supports
- Switchyards and control buildings
- Access roads and project infrastructure
- Reinforced concrete and structural steel components

- Prepare general arrangement (GA) drawings, layout drawings, sections, elevations, details, reinforcement drawings, and fabrication drawings as required.




- Revise drawings based on engineering review comments and maintain revision history.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, hydromechanical, and electromechanical engineers to incorporate design changes accurately.
- Prepare quantity-related drawings and assist in generating quantities where required.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project drafting standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing registers, document control procedures, and drawing issue records.
- Assist in preparing tender drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Support site engineering teams by incorporating field modifications and preparing revised drawings during construction.
- Maintain drawing libraries and ensure proper file management in the project document management system.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline.
- Certification in CAD/BIM software

Additional Information

- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or other BIM/CAD platforms is desirable.
- Ability to prepare reinforcement detailing and structural steel detailing.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, construction practices, and drafting standards.
- Knowledge of coordinate systems, surveying data, and topographical drawings.
- Familiarity with document management systems and electronic drawing control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
