Job Summary

Movate is looking for an experienced Data Architect to drive large-scale data modernization and cloud data warehouse transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead the design of enterprise data architectures, assess existing SAP HANA environments, and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing Snowflake-based data platforms.

This role will be responsible for defining future-state architecture, data governance standards, cloud data warehousing strategies, Medallion Architecture, and AI-ready data foundations while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Modernization

- Assess and analyze existing SAP HANA landscapes, including Calculation Views, Stored Procedures, ETL processes, and reporting frameworks.
- Define target-state architecture and migration strategies from SAP HANA and other legacy platforms to Snowflake.
- Design enterprise-scale Snowflake data warehouse solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Create scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native data architectures.
- Develop modern Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures.

Data Modeling & Governance
- Design and implement enterprise data models using:

- Kimball Methodology

- Inmon Methodology
- Data Vault 2.0
- Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
- Establish enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Define security, compliance,



and regulatory standards across the data ecosystem.
- Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and data security best practices.

Snowflake Architecture
- Design Snowflake architecture, including:

- Virtual Warehouses
- Storage & Compute Strategy

- Snowpipe

- Data Sharing
- Time Travel & Fail-safe

- Clustering Keys

- Query Performance Optimization
- Drive platform performance tuning, workload management, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Define standards and reusable design patterns for enterprise-wide adoption.

Data Engineering & Transformation
- Lead the design of ELT/ETL frameworks and data integration strategies.
- Utilize dbt for transformation, testing, deployment automation, and data lineage management.
- Establish scalable data ingestion, transformation, and consumption frameworks.
- Support legacy system reverse engineering and modernization programs.

AI & Advanced Analytics
- Design AI-ready data platforms supporting advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Enable LLM integration, Prompt Engineering, and Generative AI use cases.
- Architect data pipelines for AI/ML workloads.
- Collaborate with analytics and AI teams on enterprise AI initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead architecture review boards, design workshops, and governance discussions.
- Mentor engineering teams on modern data architecture practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and analytics teams.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for enterprise data programs.

Mandatory Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering.
- Hands-on experience delivering at least two enterprise-scale Snowflake implementations.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and cloud-native data platforms.
- Proven experience with Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault 2.0 modeling methodologies.
- Hands-on implementation experience with Medallion Architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with dbt and modern ELT practices.
- Exposure to AI, LLM Integration, and Prompt Engineering use cases.
- Excellent stakeholder management, solution design, and architecture governance experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP HANA migration and modernization programs.
- Snowflake certifications.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of DataOps, CI/CD, and modern analytics ecosystems.
- Experience designing AI-ready enterprise data platforms.
