About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Technical Architect - Data to join our dynamic team in Mumbai or Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale AWS data platforms and Lakehouse solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding technical teams through the entire project lifecycle—from conceptualization and architecture design to deployment, optimization, and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern AWS data engineering technologies, demonstrate strong architectural capabilities, and exhibit the ability to mentor and lead engineering teams effectively. You will collaborate closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and solution delivery, particularly within cloud environments. A proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-grade data Lakehouse, Data Lake,



or Data Warehouse solutions on AWS is essential. Candidates should possess strong hands-on experience with SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Python, along with expertise in Lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg.

AWS certifications such as Solution Architect (Associate/Professional) or Data Engineer (Associate) are preferred. A background in designing scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices in cloud architecture is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead globally distributed teams are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale AWS data platforms and Lakehouse solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines using AWS native services such as EMR, S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, and others.
- Architect and optimize Lakehouse solutions based on Apache Iceberg, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
- Implement and tune Spark/PySpark applications for performance and scalability, including batch and streaming data processing workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are robust, scalable,



and cost-effective.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud architecture patterns, tools, and technologies, while articulating trade-offs and best practices.
- Design and implement orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions to automate data pipelines and processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained across all data solutions.
- Conduct architecture and code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
- Manage and coordinate with globally distributed teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality of solutions.
