About The Role The Cybersecurity Expert position at Synthires offers a unique opportunity for seasoned cybersecurity professionals to contribute to pioneering AI evaluation projects. This role involves leveraging enterprise-level security expertise to design realistic security scenarios, develop reference solutions, and critically assess AI-generated cybersecurity outputs. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of AI systems used in security applications.

This is a remote, flexible engagement suited for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity, AI, and innovative problem-solving. As part of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional experts to establish security standards, evaluate AI reasoning, and improve next-generation AI security capabilities.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess over five years of skilled experience in cybersecurity or related fields, including security engineering, security operations, incident response, risk management, or security leadership roles.



Strong familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIS2 is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience managing security operations, incident response programs, security architecture, or compliance initiatives.

Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and GRC platforms is highly desirable.

Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or equivalent credentials are strongly preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles and best practices. Excellent analytical skills, risk assessment capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Cybersecurity Expert will be responsible for developing realistic enterprise cybersecurity scenarios based on real-world security operations, threat detection, and risk management workflows. This includes creating detailed reference incident reports, security assessments, architecture designs, and compliance documentation to support project objectives. The role also involves evaluating AI-generated cybersecurity outputs for accuracy, reasoning, compliance, and technical quality, ensuring that AI systems meet high standards of security integrity.





Designing grading rubrics that assess professional-level cybersecurity judgment and decision-making is a key component of the position. The candidate will apply various cybersecurity methodologies, including threat modeling, incident response planning, vulnerability management, and risk assessment, to ensure comprehensive security evaluations. Collaboration with project teams is essential to maintain consistency, quality, and technical rigor across all deliverables, fostering a cohesive approach to AI security evaluation projects.
