Role Description As a Creative Writer at Butterfly Learnings, you will craft engaging, empathetic, and informative content that supports children, caregivers, and clinicians in their behavioral health journeys. You will develop stories, educational materials, scripts, and digital copy for platforms, campaigns, and in-clinic usage, ensuring content aligns with evidence-based practices and the organization’s tone and values.
Daily responsibilities include brainstorming ideas with clinical and product teams, conducting light research on developmental and behavioral topics, drafting and revising content,
and collaborating with designers and therapists to make materials accessible and family-friendly. You will also help maintain content consistency across channels and contribute to new initiatives that enhance parent and child engagement. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane.
Qualifications
- Strong creative writing abilities with a portfolio showcasing storytelling, narrative development, and audience-specific content.
- Experience writing for digital platforms, including websites, apps, social media, or email campaigns.
- Ability to conduct basic research and translate complex behavioral health or developmental concepts into clear, compassionate language.
- Attention to detail in grammar, structure, and tone, with strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (clinicians, therapists, product, design) and incorporating feedback constructively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in en_US; proficiency in additional regional languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in child development, mental health, or education, and a commitment to inclusive, non-stigmatizing language.
- Ability to work on-site in Thane, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
