Location: Lucknow

Type: Internship | Full-time

? READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING

This is NOT a Social Media Management internship.

We are NOT looking for someone whose primary skills are:

- Managing Instagram accounts
- Creating content calendars
- Posting content created by someone else

We are looking for a Content Creator . Someone who can take a Reel from IDEA → SCRIPT → CAMERA → SHOOT → EDIT → FINAL VIDEO.

If you love being in front of the camera, shooting content, editing Reels and constantly thinking “I could make a Reel out of this” , keep reading.

About Shahi Serve

Shahi Serve is building a modern Indian food brand rooted in the food we grew up loving.

We’re starting with Awadhi cuisine from Lucknow — think proper kebabs, kormas and gravies, made using authentic recipes and real ingredients, without preservatives or unnecessary additives.

Our goal? Take India’s incredible regional food culture and make it exciting, accessible and relevant to a new generation.

And we’re looking for someone who can be a big part of that story — including being in front of the camera..

What you'll actually be doing

You will be responsible for creating short-form video content end-to-end.

? 1. COME UP WITH THE IDEA

You should be able to look at a product, situation, trend or random thought and say:

“Wait… this could be a Reel.”

You'll:

- Brainstorm Reel concepts
- Find interesting hooks
- Develop easy scripts/storylines
- Adapt trends to the Shahi Serve brand
- Think about what will actually make someone stop scrolling

? 2. BE IN THE VIDEO Yes, you may have to be on camera.

We want creators who are comfortable:

- Talking to camera
- Hosting videos
- Doing food reactions
- Explaining products
- Telling stories
- Trying different personalities/formats
- Being natural rather than sounding like they're reading a corporate script

You don't need to be an influencer.

You do need to be comfortable being yourself on camera.

? 3. SHOOT THE CONTENT

You should be comfortable picking up a phone/camera and actually making the shot happen.

You'll

- Shoot yourself and others
- Frame shots
- Work with basic lighting
- Shoot food/product B-roll
- Capture BTS and spontaneous moments
- Experiment with different camera angles and formats

You don't need a Hollywood production setup. An Phone + good lighting + good ideas > expensive camera + boring content.

✂️ 4. EDIT THE REEL

You should be able to take your raw footage and turn it into a finished, publish-ready Reel.

You'll work on:

- Cutting and pacing
- Hooks
- Captions/subtitles
- Music & sound effects
- Transitions
- B-roll
- Zooms/cuts
- Storytelling
- Trending formats

Tools can include CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or whatever you use to make good stuff. We care about the output , not which software you use.

The ideal candidate

You might be our person if:

- You spend way too much time on Reels — and actually notice why certain videos work
- You're comfortable being in front of the camera
- You can shoot and edit your own videos
- You have a natural sense of humour/personality
- You're good at storytelling
- You have strong visual taste
- You're constantly saving Reels thinking “this format could work for us”
- You can work independently without needing a detailed brief for every video
- You're willing to experiment and occasionally make something that completely flops ?
- You're genuinely excited about food, culture, creators and the internet

Bonus points: acting, hosting, comedy, photography, filmmaking,

food content or previous creator experience. What a typical assignment might look like

We might say

“We want to launch our Chicken Shami Kebab. Make a Reel.”

We don't expect you to wait for someone to hand you a script.

You might

Concept → Hook → Script → Shoot yourself → Shoot the kebab → Edit → Add sound/captions → Final Reel

That's the job.

What you'll get

This is a chance to join a brand before it becomes big .

You'll get to

- Build a portfolio of real, published content
- Become one of the faces of an upcoming food brand
- Work directly with the founder
- Experiment with formats and creative ideas
- Learn how a D2C brand is actually built
- Work across food, culture, storytelling and internet content
- Have your ideas actually see the light of day
- Potentially grow into a full-time creator/content role as the brand scales

? How we'll evaluate you Portfolio > Resume.

We'd much rather see 3 genuinely good Reels you've made yourself than a beautifully formatted CV.

Your previous content doesn't have to be about food.

It can be

- Your personal Instagram
- College content
- YouTube Shorts
- A meme/content page
- Videos you've made for fun
- Brand content
- Anything that shows us you know how to create

When you apply, send: 1. Your CV

2. Your Instagram / portfolio / YouTube

3. 2–3 Reels you're most proud of

4. Ideally, at least ONE video where you're on camera

If you don't have a portfolio yet, that's okay — send us something you've made.

One last time, because this is important:❌ NOT: Social Media Manager❌ NOT: Social Media Executive❌ NOT: Content Calendar Manager❌ NOT: Someone who only edits videos from footage given to them

✅ YES: A CREATOR✅ YES: Comfortable on camera✅ YES: Can think of Reel ideas✅ YES: Can shoot✅ YES: Can edit✅ YES: Can take a Reel from 0 → finished

If your brain is already thinking of 10 Reels we could make for Shahi Serve , we should probably talk.

Come create with us. ?️
