WIIA’s Cadet AME Program with IndiGo provides structured technical training and hands-on exposure aligned with modern airline operations. The campus features live aircraft, advanced avionics labs, and engineering workshops, giving learners direct experience with real aircraft systems and maintenance environments.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a CAR/Part 147 (Basic) B2 Aviation Instructor with substantial civil aviation maintenance experience. The instructor will deliver DGCA-compliant theoretical and practical training in avionics and electrical systems for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) students under CAR/Part 147 basic B2 disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom and workshop sessions, supervising hands-on training on live aircraft and avionics labs, and assessing learner performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
The role involves maintaining training records,
ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards, coordinating with academic and quality departments, and supporting audits and approvals related to Part 147 requirements. The instructor will also mentor learners on industry practices, career readiness, and skilled conduct in civil aviation maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong Training and instructional skills, including lesson planning, classroom delivery, and practical workshop facilitation.
- Customer Service and learner support skills to guide, mentor, and respond effectively to student queries and concerns.
- Sales and Insurance awareness to explain industry-relevant concepts such as maintenance economics, asset protection, and operational reliability, where applicable.
- Automotive or related mechanical/electrical systems understanding that complements knowledge of aviation maintenance technologies.
- Valid DGCA-recognized AME license or qualification in B2 category, with sufficient civil aviation maintenance experience on modern aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Thorough knowledge of CAR/Part 147 basic requirements, regulatory compliance, and safety procedures in aircraft maintenance training.
- Experience in developing training materials, exam papers, and assessment tools for technical aviation subjects.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and spoken), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Comfort working with live aircraft, lab equipment, and digital tools for training and record-keeping.
- Bachelor’s degree or
