Role Description The Caller will be responsible for making outbound and receiving inbound calls to prospective students, parents, and other stakeholders to share information about AMET University’s programs, admission procedures, and campus facilities. Daily activities include answering queries, explaining course details, documenting call outcomes,



maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and following up on leads to support admissions and enrollment targets. The role also involves coordinating with the admissions and marketing teams, scheduling appointments or campus visits, and providing courteous, clear communication that reflects the university’s values.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at AMET University in Chennai.

Qualifications

Strong verbal communication and active listening skills to handle high volumes of calls and provide clear, professional information.

Customer service and relationship-building skills to engage courteously with prospective students, parents/families, and internal teams.

Proficiency in Tamil is essential; proficiency in English is an added advantage.

- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry, use of call logs or CRM tools, and familiarity with email and office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage call lists, follow-ups, and daily reporting accurately and on schedule.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, collaborate effectively within a team, and adapt to structured processes and performance targets.
- Prior experience in calling, admissions support, telemarketing, or student counselling is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
