About Alanar

Alanar Alternative Investment Management Private Limited is the Investment Manager of Alanar One Health Fund, a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund investing in pharmaceutical engineering, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and allied infrastructure businesses.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take ownership of the accounting and finance function of the Investment Manager and oversee the accounting and operations of the Fund.

This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility from the outset. The candidate will independently manage the Investment Manager's books, reconciliations, statutory workings, financial reporting and audit coordination, while reviewing and overseeing Fund accounting and operations handled by external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Evaluation

- Support the evaluation of potential investments through financial analysis, business and industry research, and review of management information, historical performance and financial projections.
- Analyse key operating and financial metrics, business economics, growth drivers, risks and valuation considerations to assess the attractiveness of an investment opportunity.
- Support due diligence, financial modelling and preparation of internal investment notes and materials for review by the Fund Manager and investment team.

Accounting & Finance

- Maintain books of accounts and undertake bookkeeping in Tally.
- Manage monthly and annual closing, bank and ledger reconciliations, payments,



invoices and expense records.
- Prepare/review TDS, GST and other statutory workings and coordinate filings.
- Prepare financial statements, audit schedules, MIS, cash-flow summaries and management reports.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, bankers and other external professionals.
- Maintain strong accounting controls, records and supporting documentation.

Fund Operations

- Review Fund accounting, expenses, capital accounts, NAV workings and investor records.
- Manage capital calls, drawdowns, distributions and investor statements.
- Coordinate investor onboarding, KYC, AML and documentation.
- Work with the fund administrator, trustee, auditors, legal counsel, bankers and compliance consultants.
- Track regulatory, statutory and contractual deadlines.
- Maintain Fund records, approvals, registers, signed documents, checklists and data rooms.
- Support investment closings, including documentation, conditions-precedent tracking, dematerialisation and allotment.

Who Should Apply?
- Qualified Chartered Accountant; freshly qualified CAs are welcome to apply.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and ability to work independently.
- Strong Excel, reconciliation, financial-reporting and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working hands-on, including bookkeeping in Tally, or willing to learn it on a relatively expedited timeline.
- High attention to detail, ownership, responsiveness and confidentiality.
- Prior accounting, audit, financial-services or fund experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior AIF/fund experience is not required; willingness to learn fund operations is.

Growth Prospect For a strong performer, the role can expand beyond accounting and fund operations into portfolio-company finance, MIS, financial review, transaction support and business analysis, with exposure to senior stakeholders across the broader promoter group.
