Role Description The Assistant Manager - MICE and Hotel Contracting (SCM) is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. This position is responsible for managing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) operations, including coordination with hotels and vendors to secure competitive contracts and high-quality services. Day-to-day activities include negotiating hotel rates and terms, overseeing event-related accommodation and food & beverage arrangements, and ensuring smooth coordination between clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

The role involves monitoring budgets and cost efficiency for MICE projects, preparing proposals and reports, and maintaining accurate documentation of contracts and service agreements.

Manager will also handle client queries,



support front-line reception and customer service needs related to MICE bookings, and contribute to continuous improvement of supplier and partner relationships.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Receptionist Duties skills to manage client interactions, handle inquiries, and provide skilled support throughout the event and booking lifecycle.
- Budgeting and Sales capabilities to plan and monitor event-related budgets, negotiate favorable hotel and vendor contracts, and support revenue and margin goals.
- Understanding of Food & Beverage operations to coordinate event catering requirements, ensure quality and service standards, and align offerings with client expectations.
- Experience in MICE operations, hotel contracting, or corporate travel management, preferably within hospitality or business travel sectors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with hotels, vendors, and corporate clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation, contract terms, and service delivery.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic business reporting tools; familiarity with travel or event management systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of GDS is preferred
