Hammer & Steel seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist responsible for managing daily cash application activities, maintaining customer accounts, and performing routine collection efforts to support timely payment of outstanding balances. This role serves as a key point of contact for customer account inquiries and provides additional support within the Accounts Receivable department, including statement distribution, invoice documentation requests, lien waiver processing, and account reconciliation.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional overtime hours may be required to meet the demands and needs of the business.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Apply and reconcile customer payments received via ACH, wire transfers, checks, lockbox, and credit card transactions.
Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, short payments, billing
