RDKB Developer

Year of Experience – 5 to 10

Location – Bangalore / Chennai

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Broadband Gateway platforms
- Work extensively on OpenWrt and/or RDK‑B–based systems
- Develop and debug software on Embedded Linux environments
- Implement current features, enhancements, and bug fixes across gateway components
- Perform code reviews, ensure design compliance, and follow established engineering practices
- Troubleshoot complex system‑level issues involving firmware, networking, and performance

Must‑Have Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with OpenWrt and/or RDK‑B
- Deep knowledge of Embedded Linux systems
- Proficiency in C / C++ development for embedded platforms




- Strong understanding of Linux system internals, services, and build environments
- Adherence to solid engineering practices, including:
- Source control (Git)
- Code reviews
- Design documentation
- CI/CD awareness

Strongly Desirable Skills
- DOCSIS protocol knowledge
- Strong fundamentals in Networking concepts, including:
- TCP/IP, routing, switching
- NAT, DHCP, DNS, firewall
- Experience with Wi‑Fi technologies (Wi‑Fi 6 / 6E / 7 preferred)
- Exposure to Fibre broadband technologies
- Experience with Voice / VoIP stacks and integrations
