Job Description - TGT Computer Teacher (CBSE School)

Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - Computer Science

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science to Classes VI-X as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions in the computer laboratory.
- Teach computer fundamentals, MS Office, Internet, HTML, Python, Scratch, Artificial Intelligence (basic), Cyber Safety, and Digital Literacy as per the curriculum.
- Encourage coding, logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, and practical examinations.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of computer lab equipment.
- Use Smart Boards, digital content, and modern teaching methods.
- Prepare students for Olympiads, coding competitions, exhibitions, and school events.
- Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, training programs, assemblies, and other school activities.




- Support school ERP and basic IT-related academic work whenever required.

Essential Qualifications
- BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) / B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- CTET Paper-II qualified (preferred/required as per school policy).
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.

Required Skills:
- Solid knowledge of Computer Science and Information Technology.
- Proficiency in Python, HTML, MS Office, Internet Applications, and basic networking.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to use smart classroom technologies and digital learning platforms.
- Teamwork, creativity, and a positive attitude.
