The Cyber Engineering team at American Express is seeking a dynamic engineer for the role of Backend developer within the Information Security organization. This position offers a unique prospect to develop advanced capabilities involving emerging technologies including Gen AI.



As a key member of this team, you will have the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge product capabilities utilizing emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to stay ahead of the evolving cyber threat landscape and protect American Express's digital assets.
- Associates or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and high-performance backend systems using modern software engineering best practices.
- Working knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration platforms such as LangGraph, LangChain, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and Temporal or similar workflow engines.
