home & kitchen appliances
and are looking for an engineer to drive products from concept to production.
Role Overview
We are looking for a
New Product Development / Planning Engineer
with experience in
home appliances, kitchen appliances, consumer durables or electrical/electromechanical products
. You will work closely with the founder, OEMs and suppliers to develop, test, cost and launch new products.
Key Responsibilities
- Own NPD projects from
concept → prototype → testing → production → launch
.
- Develop and maintain
BOMs, product specifications, costing and project timelines
.
- Coordinate with OEM/ODM manufacturers for sampling, iterations and production readiness.
- Evaluate samples and drive improvements in
functionality, quality, reliability and cost
.
- Support
production planning, pilot runs and mass production
.
- Coordinate product testing, quality checks and
BIS/regulatory compliance
.
- Resolve technical and manufacturing issues with suppliers.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities across components, materials and manufacturing.
- Maintain NPD documentation, trackers and launch schedules.
Requirement
- 2–5 years
in NPD, Product Engineering, R&D;, Production Planning or similar.
- Engineering degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field
.
- Experience with
home/kitchen appliances, consumer durables or electrical products
preferred.
- Robust understanding of
BOM, costing, manufacturing and product testing
.
- Experience working with
OEM/ODM manufacturers and suppliers
.
- Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to supplier/manufacturing locations.
