Role Overview:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, mechanical/electrical components, consumables, and services required for machine manufacturing. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, timely procurement, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to the production and stores department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machine components, consumables, and tools.
2. Generate and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders as per requirements.
3. Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
4. Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with vendors.
5. Maintain and update vendor database with pricing, lead time, and performance records.
6. Monitor inventory levels in coordination with stores to plan purchases accordingly.
7. Ensure compliance with quality standards while sourcing materials.
8. Coordinate with production, design, and stores teams for requirement planning.

Track and expedite pending orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
10. Conduct market research to identify current suppliers, alternate materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
11. Handle import/export documentation (if applicable) and liaise with logistics partners.
12. Maintain proper documentation for audits, GST, and statutory compliance.
13. Prepare and submit periodic reports on purchase activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
14. Resolve vendor-related issues such as shortages, damages, and rejections.
15. Support implementation of ERP / MIS systems for purchase tracking.

Candidate Profile (Requirements):
- Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Supply Chain / Commerce (preferred).
- 25 years of experience in purchase/procurement in a manufacturing industry (machine manufacturing preferred).
