Purpose/Objective

The Lead - Legal is responsible for managing and overseeing all legal functions within the assigned region, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, effective dispute resolution, contract management, and risk mitigation.
This role serves as the key legal advisor for regional operations, balancing litigation and non-litigation responsibilities while safeguarding the organization’s legal interests.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Lead - Legal Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage and oversee regional litigation matters, ensuring strategic handling of cases to protect the company’s interests.
Supervise external advocates, solicitors, and legal consultants to ensure effective representation in court cases.
Represent the company in legal proceedings and government interactions, providing guidance on dispute resolution strategies.
Establish and implement conciliation and arbitration mechanisms for effective dispute resolution.
Monitor litigation progress and provide timely updates to senior management on legal risks and case developments.




Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all litigation cases, maintaining an up-to-date legal database.
Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including real estate, corporate, labor, and environmental laws.
Monitor current legislation and regulatory changes, advising internal stakeholders on necessary compliance actions.
Work closely with relevant departments to ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met in a timely manner.
Develop and implement policies for legal risk mitigation and governance across business operations.
Contract Management & Legal Advisory: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs to safeguard the organization’s interests.
Establish and standardize legal templates for regional contracts, ensuring consistency and legal enforceability.
