Software Test Engineer – Embedded & Device Testing

Job Summary

We are looking for a
Software Test Engineer
with strong hands-on testing experience and exposure to automation. Candidates with an
EEE/ECE background or experience in embedded/device testing
will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of applications/devices.
- Test embedded systems and validate device functionality where applicable.
- Identify, reproduce, analyze, and report defects.
- Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
- Develop/execute automated test scripts using any relevant scripting language or automation framework.
- Identify functional gaps, edge cases, and risks from an end-user perspective.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.




- Maintain test documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.

Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on
software testing experience
.
- Strong knowledge of test case design and QA/testing methodologies.
- Good analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience in defect identification and analysis.
- Exposure to
test automation, scripting, or automation frameworks
.
- EEE/ECE qualification or embedded/device testing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and protocols such as
CAN, UART, SPI, or I2C
is an added advantage.

Note:
Automation experience is not limited to Java or Python. Experience with any scripting language, automation framework, or embedded test automation tool is relevant. Robust testing fundamentals and a testing mindset are the primary requirements.
