Required Skills & Qualifications

Experienced Build and Release Management skilled with 4+ years in Android, Java/J2EE application management

Java Ecosystem: High familiarity with JVM configuration, garbage collection, and J2EE patterns.

OS Fluency: Strong mastery of Linux internals, system optimization, and shell administration.

Scripting Power: Heavy automation skills using Python, Bash, or Groovy.

Cloud Architecture: Hands-on operational familiarity with AWS or Azure ecosystems (specifically EKS, EC2, and IAM profiles).

Core Responsibilities

Build & Configuration Management

Pipeline Automation: Design and scale robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI to automate testing, build artifacts, and package Java apps.

Java Build Systems: Write and tune build automation scripts utilizing Gradle and Maven for dependencies and compilations.

Artifact Management: Set up and manage enterprise repositories like Nexus or Artifactory to safely cache, version, and share binaries.





Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and maintain hybrid platforms using code through Ansible or Terraform.

Release Management

Environment Deployment: Own the automated deployment of Java/J2EE applications to target staging, UAT, and production spaces.

Source Control & Branching: Act as an SCM administrator utilizing Git, Perforce, and SVN to handle code branching strategies, merging protocols, and tagging cycles.

Hotfix Orchestration: Manage Emergency Bug Fixes (EBFs) safely across environments without breaking operational uptime.

Release Documentation: Write definitive deployment instruction playbooks and release tracking manifests.
