About the Internship

LearnElectronics India is looking for a motivated Network Engineer Intern who is interested in computer networking, network security, Linux systems, and software-defined networking.

The intern will work on practical networking and cybersecurity-oriented development activities involving network configuration, virtual networking environments, traffic monitoring, routing, network automation, and security mechanisms.

This internship is suitable for students who want hands-on exposure to networking technologies and practical implementation beyond academic coursework.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing computer network topologies.
- Work with virtual and software-defined networking environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, and switching.
- Develop and test network-related programs and automation scripts using Python.
- Work with Linux/Ubuntu-based networking environments.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and network performance.
- Implement and test routing and traffic-management mechanisms.




- Work on network failure detection and alternative routing approaches.
- Assist in implementing network security and traffic-filtering mechanisms.
- Analyze suspicious or abnormal network traffic.
- Perform network testing using appropriate networking and packet-analysis tools.
- Document configurations, testing procedures, observations, and results.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and project demonstrations.

Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Computer Networks and Networking Fundamentals.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, ports, protocols, and network communication.
- Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu and command-line operations.
- Understanding of basic network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tools such as Ping, Traceroute/Tracepath, Netstat/SS, Wireshark, or tcpdum
