Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Diagnose PLC input/output, communication and programming-related faults.
- Troubleshoot field instruments such as:
- Flow meters
- Level transmitters
- Pressure transmitters
- pH sensors
- ORP sensors
- Conductivity/TDS sensors
- DO sensors
- Turbidity sensors
- Control valves
- Motorized valves
- Limit switches
- Check and troubleshoot DI/DO/AI/AO signals.
- Troubleshoot PLC panels, control panels, relays, contactors, SMPS and signal isolators.
- Identify and rectify PLC communication faults between PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs and field instruments.
- Perform calibration and basic troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Monitor and maintain automatic sequences and interlocks of STP/ETP/WTP plants.
- Understand and troubleshoot Auto/Manual operation logic.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams during breakdowns.
- Maintain instrumentation and automation records, calibration reports and breakdown reports.
- Support preventive maintenance of PLC, SCADA and field instrumentation.
- Assist in modification and improvement of PLC logic and plant automation.
- Ensure minimum downtime of the automation system.
Preferred candidate profile
2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA or water/wastewater treatment plants.
Candidates with robust hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience will be preferred.
