Location: Remote, with Bangalore office visit 1–2 times per month

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Requirement: 24×7 rotational on-call support

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with solid expertise in MongoDB, MariaDB/MySQL, Oracle, and NoSQL database environments. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, monitoring, security, backup, troubleshooting, and automation across production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
- Manage production and non-production database environments and clusters.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery.
- Support database architecture, deployment, maintenance, and optimization.
- Work closely with Development and SRE teams to resolve database and query-related issues.
- Implement database automation using Python and Shell scripting.




- Provide 24×7 rotational on-call production support.
- Maintain database security, availability, reliability, and performance.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of overall database engineering/administration experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on DBA experience.
- Solid experience with MongoDB, MariaDB/MySQL, and production database environments.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge.
- Experience with database clustering, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Strong Linux and networking skills.
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database and production issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have
- PostgreSQL and Cassandra experience.
- Knowledge of Redis and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with database automation and monitoring tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
