Purpose/Objective

To manage Blade Production operations by ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of wind turbine blades while achieving production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and continuous improvement objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Production Planning & Execution - Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly blade production targets.
- Monitor production schedules and optimize resource utilization to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Process Engineering teams for uninterrupted production.
- Drive adherence to takt time, cycle time, and productivity targets.
Manufacturing Operations - Manage complete blade manufacturing activities including mold preparation, layup, resin infusion, curing, demolding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch readiness.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, process parameters, and engineering specifications.
- Drive process stability and reduction of manufacturing defects.
Quality Management - Ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) and Right First Time (RFT)

- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production quality issues.
- Coordinate with Quality team to minimize rework and rejection losses.
Safety, Health & Environment (EHS) - Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Drive Zero Harm culture across production teams.
People Management - Lead and supervise shift engineers, supervisors, and operators.
- Ensure manpower deployment as per production requirements.
- Drive capability development through training, skill matrix improvement, and succession planning.
- Foster employee engagement and performance excellence.
Continuous Improvement - Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and productivity improvement initiatives.
