Position: Purchase Manager
Location: Chennai – Anna Nagar
Experience: 5–10 years
Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical
Preferred Industry: Steel, PEB, Automobile, Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, steel, components, consumables, and engineering materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure materials are purchased as per quality, quantity, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Stores, Quality, and Accounts teams for material requirements.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Maintain vendor records, quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Develop alternate suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Negotiate commercial terms, payment terms, lead times, and transportation costs.
- Track market prices for steel and other manufacturing materials.
- Handle supplier performance, delays,



quality issues, and replacement/return matters.
- Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and company policies.
- Prepare regular purchase reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports.

Required Skills
- Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of steel, PEB, fabrication, or manufacturing materials
- Good understanding of purchase processes and inventory requirements
- Vendor development and cost reduction skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Preference: Candidates with relevant experience in Steel / PEB / Automobile / Manufacturing industries and immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: ₹16,956.07 - ₹56,791.16 per month
