1. Job Objective

To independently manage the complete Purchase and Procurement function, ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices, effective supplier management, cost control and uninterrupted support to Production and Project requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

Purchase & Procurement
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order and material receipt.

Supplier Management

· Identify, evaluate and develop reliable recent suppliers.

· Monitor supplier performance based on Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD).

· Handle supplier-related quality issues, delivery delays, replacements and corrective actions.

· Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials.

Cost Control & Negotiation





· Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.

· Identify cost-reduction opportunities and achieve procurement savings.

· Monitor purchase price variations and market trends.

· Develop annual rate contracts wherever applicable.

· Ensure purchases are made at competitive and commercially favourable terms.

Technical Procurement

· Understand engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and technical requirements.

· Coordinate with Design / Engineering teams for technical clarification.

· Procure suitable mechanical and electrical components as per approved specifications.

· Evaluate alternate materials / components in consultation with the concerned technical team.

Production & Internal Coordination

· Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, Design, Engineering, QA/QC and Accounts.

· Ensure timely availability of materials according to production schedules.
