Role & responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable activities, including bill passing for inward/outward materials, transporters, service bills, and advance settlements.
- Perform vendor reconciliation and prepare vendor balance reports.
- Reconcile receiving inventory accounts, AP-related accounts, and GL/control accounts.
- Prepare monthly and annual trial balance and support financial closing activities.
- Prepare closing stock statements for finished goods, stores, and spares.
- Handle Inter-Unit / Inter-SBU and GL account reconciliations.
- Prepare provisions and salary-related JVs required for monthly/annual closing.
- Manage Fixed Asset Register, depreciation computation, and accounting.
- Maintain records related to Capital Work in Progress (CWIP).
- Ensure GST compliance, including GST credit reconciliation and timely filing of GST returns.
- Handle TDS and other statutory dues, including computation, reconciliation, and timely payment.
- Maintain proper statutory records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Generate scrap invoices and coordinate customer review.
- Support monthly/annual account closing with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Work effectively with internal departments, vendors, customers, and statutory authorities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Positive understanding of GST, TDS and indirect taxation
- Expertise in bank/vendor/GL reconciliations
- Experience in monthly & annual financial closing
- Knowledge of Fixed Assets and depreciation
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Good command of MS Excel / MS Office
- Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
