Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining backend systems using Python. The ideal candidate should have expertise in FastAPI or Flask and be capable of building scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration:
Work closely with frontend developers and product managers to develop new features.
- Code Quality:
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code following best practices.
- Optimization:
Improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve backend issues efficiently.
- Learning & Growth:
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior developers for continuous improvement.
- Innovation:
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements.
- AI-Augmented Development:
Use AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, write tests,



and speed up debugging — while applying sound engineering judgment to review, refine, and own every line that ships.

Qualifications:

*Required:*
- Experience:
Minimum 3 years of backend development using Python with FastAPI or Flask.
- Strong knowledge of Python and its backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, REST APIs, and web services.
- Knowledge of rate limiting, pagination, and different REST API authentication mechanisms is a must.
- Experience integrating with third-party tools such as HubSpot, Zoho Books, or similar platforms, but not limited to these.
- AI-Assisted Development:
Comfortable working with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) as part of the up-to-date development workflow — for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test writing.
