Role & responsibilities:
- Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, access points).
- Monitor network performance and report issues to senior engineers.
- Support troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity problems.
- Participate in network upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance activities.
- Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and incident logs.
- Ensure compliance with basic network security practices and access policies.
- Coordinate with IT teams to resolve user connectivity issues.
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures for network operations.

Preferred candidate profile:
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, LAN/WAN, VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS, NAT
- Basic knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP fundamentals)
- Handson exposure to routers, switches, access points (academic/project level)
- Ability to perform IP addressing, subnetting, and basic configuration
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios valuable to have)
- Understanding of firewall basics, VPN, and network security fundamentals
