4. Coverage: Pan-India retail stores, warehouses, corporate offices, guest houses, design studios and project/fit-out sites.
5. Role Purpose
To ensure end-to-end compliance with labour laws, statutory licences, property and operational regulatory requirements across all business locations in India, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach toward non-compliance and preventing penalties, prosecutions, labour disruption, utility disconnection or business interruption.
6. Key Responsibilities
a. Ensure statutory compliance for employees and contract workforce covering PF, ESI, wages, bonus, gratuity, working hours, statutory registers and principal employer obligations, including implementation of the Wage Code and new labour statutes.
b. Manage union relations, Mathadi/manual worker and head-loader compliances,
preventing operational disruption.
c. Ensure validity of Shops & Establishment, municipal trade/health licences, skilled tax, fire approvals, signage permissions, weighing scale verification, eating-house permissions and other local licences.
d. Oversee compliance for owned/leased properties, including property tax, electricity load and billing, fire and life-safety systems, building safety, lift/electrical certifications and civic requirements.
e. Act as SPOC for statutory inspections, notices, authority proceedings and labour court matters, coordinating with consultants, advocates and regulators and maintaining a central litigation tracker.
f. Conduct and handle internal / external compliance audits, risk identification, loophole closure, corrective actions and statutory training, enforcing strict governance against non-compliance.
