Aws Data Engineer:

ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts

Extracting data from various source systems (expecting Glue or DMS)

Good understanding/experience in Data lakes ( S3 - Medallion architecture )

Athena for ad-choc querying

Strong on Glue for ETL jobs, cataloging and crawlers

Working exp on Redshift for data warehousing and analytical layer

Working exp with RDS for transactional database (helpful in migrations as well)

Strong on Step functions for orchestration

Good knowledge on SCT & DMS for data migrations from on premise to AWS (optional - based on project requirement)

Robust on Lambda for multiple purposes like triggering, APIs, light weight processing, etc

Good knowledge on streaming data ingestions - Kafka or Kinesis

Error handling, Fail over mechanism, notification mechanism, monitoring, auditing concepts

Strong in Python, PySpark and SQL

Good knowledge on Procedures/Functions
