Job Description

1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth

• Develop and implement the national sales strategy in line with organizational objectives.

• Drive achievement of primary and secondary sales targets across India.

• Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans and ensure effective execution.

• Identify recent business opportunities, markets, products, and customer segments.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and product performance.

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead and manage the national sales team comprising ZBMs, ZSMs, RSMs, and other field sales personnel.

• Set clear performance objectives and KPIs for the sales team.





• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions wherever required.

• Coach, mentor, and develop the sales leadership team to improve productivity and effectiveness.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of key sales talent.

3. Sales Operations

• Ensure effective implementation of company strategies, campaigns, and promotional plans.

• Review sales performance through regular MIS, dashboards, and business review meetings.

• Ensure optimum territory coverage, doctor/customer engagement, and field-force productivity.

• Improve sales forecasting, inventory planning, and product availability in coordination with relevant functions.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and applicable pharmaceutical industry regulations.

4. Customer & Market Development

• Develop strong relationships with key customers, distributors, stockists, institutions, and other business

partners.
