We are looking for a skilled and responsible Solar Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of rooftop solar PV systems. The role requires regular travel to customer sites and the ability to work safely and efficiently in field conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission rooftop solar PV systems as per approved designs and technical standards.
- Perform electrical wiring, panel installation, inverter installation, earthing, and related works.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of solar systems, inverters, and electrical components.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of installed solar systems.
- Identify and resolve technical issues at customer sites.
- Ensure proper installation quality and adherence to safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the project and service teams for timely completion of assigned work.
- Maintain installation, service, and maintenance records.
- Explain basic system operation and maintenance procedures to customers.
- Travel to different project and customer locations as required.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical installations.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, tools, testing equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and electrical problems.
- Positive communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively for project and service work.
Preferred Candidate
- ITI / Diploma qualification in Electrical or related trade.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in solar installation, electrical work, or a related field.
- Experience in rooftop solar installation will be an added advantage.
- Candidates willing to travel 100% for field work are preferred.
