Position Overview:

Seeking for a highly passionate and motivated Application Engineer - Medium Voltage Switchgear to join our team in Vadodara. In this role, you define and configure medium voltage switchgear solutions based on customer requirements using existing OEM platforms and leveraging outside OEM relationships. You translate RFQs and specifications into clear, buildable technical solutions, working closely with Sales and Engineering across regions.

This role focuses on configuring and adapting existing OEM platforms rather than developing switchgear systems from first principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the US sales team in the technical bidding process for medium voltage switchgear.
- Review RFQs, specifications, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) to define technical scope and requirements.
- Recommend approaches for customers and stakeholders utilizing MV design principles
- Define voltage levels, fault ratings, protection approach, and switchgear configurations based on project requirements.




- Prepare technical proposals and compliance matrices aligned with customer requirements for the North American market
- Collaborate with OEM and manufacturing partners to adapt and configure existing switchgear designs.
- Provide technical support for customer inquiries, clarifications, and solution alignment.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62271-1 and IEEE C37 standards dependent on project requirements. (other applicable IEEE standards specific to the North American market)
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams across regions.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites and manufacturing facilities as needed.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in medium voltage switchgear (OEM, EPC, or panel builder)
- Robust understanding of SLDs, power systems, and medium voltage switchgear components.
- Familiarity with IEC / IEEE / ANSI standards.
