Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant - Physics will support the effective functioning of the physics laboratory by assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring a secure and organized lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members during laboratory sessions and practical classes
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials in advance
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of lab instruments
- Maintain stock registers, lab records, and inventory of equipment and consumables
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the laboratory
- Provide basic guidance to students during experiments, if required
- Report any damage, malfunction,



or shortage of equipment to the concerned authority
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines

Eligibility Criteria:
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Physics or a related field
- 0-5 years experience
- Prior experience in handling laboratory equipment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of physics experiments and lab procedures
- Good organizational and communication skills

Skills Required:
- Technical knowledge of laboratory instruments
- Attention to detail and record-keeping
- Ability to work in a team
- Basic computer knowledge
