Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction for all Allied Health Sciences programmes.
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, academic calendars, teaching schedules, and examination processes.
- Monitor the quality of teaching, learning, practical training, and clinical education.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, university, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies, technology-enabled learning, and competency-based education.
- Review academic performance and take appropriate corrective actions where required.

2. Faculty Management
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching faculty.
- Participate in faculty recruitment, orientation, workload allocation, appraisal, and professional development.
- Ensure adequate faculty strength and appropriate faculty-student ratios as per regulatory requirements.
- Encourage faculty members to participate in research, conferences, publications, workshops, and continuing professional development.




- Conduct regular departmental and faculty meetings and ensure effective communication.

3. Clinical & Practical Training
- Coordinate with affiliated hospitals and clinical departments to ensure adequate clinical exposure for students.
- Ensure students receive structured practical and clinical training in relevant specialties.
- Monitor clinical postings, internships, skill-based training, attendance, and competency assessment.
- Ensure appropriate laboratory facilities, equipment, simulation facilities, and learning resources are available.

4. Student Administration & Welfare
- Oversee student admissions, orientation, attendance, academic progress, examinations, and discipline.
- Address student grievances and academic concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote student welfare, professional ethics, leadership, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure a protected, respectful, and inclusive learning setting.
