Job Description:
- Should have experience in handling woven/knit based products with an export house background.
- Should have previous experience working with UK/US/European brands in tops/dresses/bottoms/lifestyle jackets.
- Good understanding in pattern making.
- Can understand and work according the Trend pack/ directions from brand.
- Should be able to manage the brands independently and allocate the design amongst the team.
- Skilled with Illustrator and Photoshop, can make sketches and render garments on Illustrator.
- Conducting in depth market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sourcing, merchandising, and R&D; for sample creation process.
- Prepare design presentations, line sheets, and product decks for buyer meetings.




- Interpret trend direction and buyer briefs into seasonal design concepts.
- Capture and incorporate buyer feedback into updated designs and documentation.
- Translate trend insights into design sketches, detailed flats, prints, trims, fabric etc.
- Maintaining and recording updated design data and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and traceability throughout the development cycle.

Skills
- Strong command of design tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and sketching tools.
- Positive understanding of garment construction, pattern basics, functional details, seam engineering, and technical fittings.
- Basic Knowledge of fabrics.
