Computer System Administrator– CBSE School

Location: Amethyst International School, Thalambur, Chennai

Position: Full-Time | Immediate Joining

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Qualification:

B.sc/ M.sc in Computer science or B.E(CSE) or B.TEch(IT)

Experience:

Minimum 1 year

Key Responsibilities:
- System troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Network management: Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, firewalls, and internet access for staff and students.
- Excel expertise: Create and manage spreadsheets for student records, timetables, inventory, and reporting. Use advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- User support: Provide technical assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff.
- System updates: Install and configure software, apply security patches, and ensure compliance with IT policies.
- Data backup:



Implement regular backup procedures and recovery plans to safeguard school data.
- Documentation: Maintain records of system configurations, troubleshooting logs, and IT inventory.

Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros).
- Experience with network administration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
