Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at Karunya Hospitals in Coimbatore. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing physician orders, checking for drug interactions, counseling patients on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects, and maintaining precise records. The role also involves managing inventory, monitoring storage conditions, participating in medication safety initiatives, and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support effective treatment plans. The Pharmacist is expected to uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and colleagues.

Qualifications
- Candidate should possess strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription verification, and safe medication dispensing practices.
- Candidate should possess skills in patient counseling, explicit communication,



and providing education on medication usage and side effects.
- Candidate should possess abilities in inventory management, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and hospital guidelines.
- Candidate should possess familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows, electronic medical records, and basic computer applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) from a recognized institution; valid pharmacy registration and license as per local regulations.
- Attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred but motivated early-career professionals may also be considered.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
