Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) Oxygen Plant equipment such as compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, adsorbers, and valves.
- Ensure uninterrupted and secure oxygen supply to Blast Furnace operations with required purity, pressure, and flow.
- Control and monitor plant parameters through PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
- Coordinate with Blast Furnace, Mechanical, Electrical, and Utility teams for smooth plant operation.
- Troubleshoot process issues, support maintenance activities, and ensure equipment reliability.
- Optimize VPSA cycles for better efficiency and energy consumption.
- Maintain process documentation, daily operation logs, and performance reports.
- Follow safety standards (LOTO, PPE, ISO compliance) and support audit requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Production Engineering

Experience:
- Engineer: 25 years in VPSA / PSA / Cryogenic Oxygen Plant operations (Steel / Gas industry)
- Sr. Engineer: 5–8 years in Oxygen Generation & Distribution for Blast Furnace / Process Industries
