Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounts

Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, month-end/year-end closing, and supporting management with accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform bank, ledger, customer, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain proper books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash-flow statements, expense reports, and variance analysis.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules,



documents, and explanations.
- Review accounting entries and ensure proper documentation and supporting records.
- Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, provisions, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Support internal controls and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Guide junior accountants and review their work.
- Provide financial data and analysis to management whenever required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA/CA Inter; CMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Typically, 4–7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of applicable tax
