Overview

OneMSCI R&D; Quality & Architecture is a newly established cross-functional organization within R&D;, created to drive consistent quality standards (especially from quantitative finance perspective) , modular architecture, and AI-first workflows across MSCI’s product lines.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in operationalizing this mandate by supporting the implementation of analytical validation frameworks, promoting modular design principles, and enabling the adoption of AI-driven workflows. The role requires close collaboration with research, engineering, and platform teams to ensure scalable, consistent, and high-quality product development.

Responsibilities

1. Quality & Validation
- Execute and support cross-product validation frameworks from the business / financial logic perspective.
- Identify quality gaps and recommend improvements aligned with firm-wide standards
- Ensure AI-driven workflows meet defined quality thresholds

1. Architecture & Modularity
- Support implementation of modular architecture principles across products




- Identify reuse opportunities across platforms to reduce duplication
- Contribute to design and architecture reviews for recent initiatives

1. AI Workflow Enablement
- Assist in defining and implementing best practices for AI-driven workflows (e.g., agents, automation, pipelines)
- Evaluate new AI use cases against established standards and governance models
- Support initiatives to transition manual processes into AI-enabled workflows

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product ,engineering and R&D; teams
- Ensure consistent application of standards across business lines

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), quantitative finance, Investment analysis and Index management, or any other highly quantitative subject.
- 5-9 years of experience in quantitative profile in Finance. Knowledge of Indices is a plus.
