What's the role?
In the role of Sr Engineer in OneSearch team you will:
- Implement features for core backend and data-processing services.
- Support maintenance, debugging, and fixes for backend services and storage systems.
- Occasionally assist with benchmarking and evaluation: running competitive tests, interpreting scoring behavior, designing experiments, and deciding whether a proposed change should be addressed by parsing logic, ranking, or data enrichment.
- Build automation tools and analyzing data from various sources (for example, platform catalogs and internal storage).
- Create simple user interfaces and visual reports (charts/dashboards) to present results.
Who are you?
You are a fast learner and are comfortable working with little direction. You take initiative and bring up ideas. In addition you have the following:
- 5 to 8 years of working experience in technology industry.
- Fluency in Java and/or Scala.
- Experience in AWS cloud technology
- Experience with operating and maintaining large scale distributed web services with low latencies
- Fluency in gitlab or other git deployments, including pipeline creation and external triggers.
- Ability to communicate complex systems and solutions in an easy-to-understand way to non-technical stakeholders in English (written/speech)
- Valuable understanding of Kubernetes & Docker technology and of microservices architectural style
- Understanding of Big data processing
