Role Summary

The Account Manager owns the client's marketing and advertising agenda at the agency. This is a client servicing and account planning role — the person is expected to know the client's business, category in depth, and to convert that understanding into briefs, strategy, and work that moves the business forward. Beyond planning and client interfacing, the role is expected to guide and supervise the agency’s specialist teams and hold the quality of what they produce.

Key Responsibilities

Client Ownership & Servicing
- Act as the primary point of contact and own the day-to-day client relationship through consistent, diligent servicing.




- Hold daily conversations with clients — not just status updates, but the running dialogue that builds trust and keeps the agency close to the business.
- Understand the client's business objectives and category dynamics, and solve for them rather than only responding to requests.
- Lead strategic discussions and reviews with clients independently.

Brand Planning
- Build and maintain a working knowledge of the client's category: consumer, trade, channel, and competition.
- Conduct market visits, retail and channel checks, and on-ground observation to inform recommendations.
- Track and benchmark competition — messaging, media presence, spends, and platform behaviour — and bring those findings back to the client and internal teams.
- Develop annual and campaign-level account plans that connect business objectives to communication and media decisions.
