About the Role
ProtoMake 3D is looking for a Business Development Associate to help us acquire customers and grow our 3D printing and CAD services.
This is a sales-focused role. Your primary responsibility will be to find potential customers online, understand their requirements, and convert them into paid orders.
Responsibilities
Find potential customers through e-commerce platforms, social media, online marketplaces, engineering communities, student networks, and other online channels.
Identify customers who need 3D printing, CAD models, custom parts, prototypes, or small-batch manufacturing.
Approach prospects, understand their requirements, and follow up to convert leads into orders.
Coordinate with the technical team to determine suitable solutions and pricing.
Maintain a basic record of leads, conversions, and revenue generated.




Build relationships with customers and generate repeat business and referrals.
Explore new platforms and customer segments to generate leads.
Ideal Candidate
Strong communication and persuasion skills.
Proactive and comfortable approaching current customers.
Good at online research, networking, and follow-ups.
Interested in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship.
Familiarity with e-commerce, social media, LinkedIn, or online communities is an advantage.
Interest in 3D printing, CAD, engineering, or manufacturing is a plus.
Previous sales experience is helpful but not required.
Compensation
Compensation: 10–15% commission on successfully converted orders, with additional earning potential based on performance.
