Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part time, remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers across various initiatives. This role includes recruiting volunteers, coordinating onboarding and training sessions, and ensuring volunteers have the resources they need to contribute effectively. The coordinator will maintain regular communication with volunteers, schedule and track participation, and serve as a central contact for questions and feedback. Day-to-day tasks involve creating and updating volunteer materials, supporting community outreach activities, and collaborating with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with organizational goals. The Coordinator of Volunteers will also monitor volunteer performance, recognize contributions, and help build a positive, inclusive volunteer culture.
Qualifications
Demonstrated Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training experience, with the ability to organize, support, and retain volunteers.




Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication in a remote environment.
Experience with Community Outreach and engagement, preferably in nonprofit, marketing, or community-focused initiatives.
Comfort with digital tools and platforms for remote coordination (e.g., project management software, video conferencing, shared documents).
Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple volunteer activities and schedules.
Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and creating welcoming spaces for volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
Prior experience in volunteer coordination, event management, or community programs is preferred.
Relevant education or training in communications, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field is an advantage.
