Overview

The Director Consumer & Commercial Strategy & Transformation, India, leads the next phase of PepsiCo India’s growth by embedding consumer-led strategy, stronger brand fundamentals, and scalable innovation platforms, while accelerating digital, commercial, and go-to-market transformation across categories.

This role reports to the Vice President, Chief Strategy, Transformation and Deployment, while working closely with CMO, Sales Head, R&D; and CFO.

Responsibilities

1. Anchor Consumer-Led Growth Agenda
- Define priority demand spaces, cohorts, and consumption occasions for India OU
- Translate consumer insights into explicit portfolio choices and growth strategies
- Partner with Foods & Beverages teams to shape where-to-play and how-to-win decisions

2. Build Scalable Innovation Platforms
- Shift from fragmented launches to fewer, bigger innovation platforms (e.g., health, convenience, premium, local)
- Develop structured pipelines across core, adjacent, and disruptive innovation
- Drive faster concept-to-market cycles with strong commercial viability

Lead Consumer & Digital Transformation
- Define and drive digital consumer strategy aligned to enterprise growth priorities
- Leverage data, platforms, and new engagement models to enhance customer experience and business performance

4. Drive Marketing & Commercial Excellence
- Co-lead transformation programs across marketing, digital commerce, and GTM
- Improve media efficiency, marketing ROI, and integrated execution
- Embed data-driven decision-making and agile ways of working across teams

5. Enable Organization & Capability Transformation
- Champion adoption of new tools, platforms, and agile practices
- Build capabilities in:
- Consumer-centric thinking
- Insight-to-action translation
- Innovation and experimentation
- Foster a test-learn-scale culture across functions

6. Ecosystem & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a thought partner to category, brand, and transformation leaders
