Job Summary
The Controls & Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, improving, and supporting electrical, controls, CNC, PLC, and automation systems within a manufacturing workplace. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting manufacturing operations through advanced electrical and automation expertise. The position serves as a technical resource, providing leadership and guidance to maintenance teams while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, report, and mitigate electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic safety hazards.
- Promote a strong safety culture through the use of PPE, safety procedures, and risk assessments.
- Support safe operation of CNC machines, automated systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Participate in safety training, audits,



and continuous improvement initiatives.

Electrical Maintenance & Equipment Support
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
- Support CNC machines, special purpose machines (SPMs), robots, conveyors, nut runners, and automated material handling systems.
- Conduct panel-level fault finding, wiring modifications, component replacement, and electrical diagnostics.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using maintenance management systems such as MAXIMO.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and preventive maintenance programs.

Controls & Automation Engineering
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, CNC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Program and support PLC platforms including Siemens, Mitsubishi,
