Summary:
We're hiring two Senior Data Engineers to tackle this in parallel — one focused on unifying inconsistent country databases into a single centralized model, the other on rebuilding the sales-volume reporting pipeline. You'll work largely independently from a design document, with the latitude to shape how the work gets done.
Responsibilities:
Unify heterogeneous, inconsistently-structured country databases into a single centralized data model (Track 1), or rework large, messy bottler-level sales databases into a consistent reporting structure (Track 2).
Build data catalogs so Power BI connects to one shared semantic model instead of per-country dashboards.
Replace or harden an existing manual/automated reporting workflow to support month-end close and daily reporting.
Advise on which Microsoft Fabric capabilities should be enabled, with reasoning the client can bring to their internal security and governance review.
Work from an established template (already validated for Mexico) and extend the approach to additional countries.
Requirements:
Senior-level data engineering experience, comfortable working independently from a design document with minimal onboarding.
Proven experience homogenizing/unifying data across heterogeneous, inconsistently-structured databases.
Experience handling large datasets with varying levels of granularity.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric — enough to make and defend tooling recommendations.
Power BI (data modeling and catalog structure — not report development).
Power Automate or equivalent workflow automation experience.
Ability to work with 3 hours of daily overlap starting 9:00 AM Colombia time.
Qualified English (Spanish not required).
Preferred Skills:
A track record of proposing better approaches rather than just executing specs.
Exposure to beverage or retail analytics data.
